Police Arrest 37 For Plotting To Assassinate President

Authorities in Sri Lanka say they have arrested 37 people for an alleged assassination plot against President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Times of India reports.

Among those detained were 23 army personnel, including a brigadier general, a colonel and some deserters, according to state media reports.
