German authorities say they have arrested three Syrian refugees with suspected ties to the Islamic State, reports Deutsche Welle.
The suspects were allegedly deployed by Islamic State for new terror attacks in Europe, noted the Independent (U.K.).
Federal police and agents from the GSG 9 special operations unit made the arrests Tuesday in pre-dawn raids in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, said prosecutors.
