Poland and the U.S. Discuss NATO Security and Defense Cooperation

On Aug. 27, 2026, Polish Secretary of State Paweł Zalewski met with senior U.S. defense officials at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Headquarters in Brussels to address European security, the war in Ukraine, and future Russian threats.

Their talks focused on the NATO 3.0 framework, strengthening the U.S. military footprint in Europe, including the potential for expanding permanent U.S. forces there, and exploring joint European production and maintenance of Patriot PAC-3 missiles in Poland.
