Plans Set To Transfer Faryab Province From Norwegians To Afghans

Norway expects to conclude its military mission this fall in Afghanistan's northern Faryab province, reports the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.

The withdrawal of Norwegian forces is being made at the request of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, which is seeking to conclude its Afghan mission in 2014.

The new plan was shared with the Norwegian Defense Minister Espen Barth Eide in Kabul this week.
