Plans Set To Strengthen Airfield Defenses

The Indian government has decided to purchase improved anti-missile systems and radars to defend its airfields, reports Defense News.
"All airfields of [the Indian air force] are being upgraded in a phased manner with modern navigation equipment and runway aids," said Defense Minister A.K. Antony on Tuesday.
The air force currently uses Russian-made Osaka and Pechora systems, as well as the advanced S-300 anti-air missile system.
