The U.S. military may soon convert Humvees in Afghanistan into mobile generators to provide electricity, the Marine Corps Times reports.
The vehicle has been largely replaced in the field by heavier armored vehicles as the threat of roadside bombs increased. However, Humvees could soon be used to power devices like radar and air conditioning units.
