The Indian army is preparing to send two mountain divisions to the disputed northern border with China near Tibet, United Press International reports.
The planned deployments, totaling some 36,000 men, will be finalized by March, said military officials.
The 56th Army Division will be based in the state of Nagaland, southeast of Arunachal Pradesh, to guard against a possible Chinese attack through Burma, said officials. The 71st Army Division will be based in Assam. ...
