Russia is planning to test-fire its Tsirkon hypersonic missile from warships and submarines over the next two years, reports Russia’s Tass news agency.
The weapon has only been fired from ground launchers at this point. A test launch from the frigate Admiral Gorshkov is slated for the end of 2019.
The Kazan nuclear-powered attack submarine is scheduled to enter service at the end of the year and will begin test-launching the Tsirkon from surface and submerged positions in 2020,...
