Plans Made To Send Medics To Afghanistan

The Japanese government has apparently decided to send Ground Self-Defense Force medical personnel to Afghanistan, reports the Asahi Shimbun, citing defense and military sources.
The U.S. and NATO have asked Japan to help address the shortage of instructors for the Afghan army and police.
The Japanese personnel are expected to help train doctors at military medical facilities.
