Plans Made To Send 130 Troops To Emirates

The South Korean government is considering sending a contingent of troops to the United Arab Emirates to protect Korean companies and workers there, reports the Korea Herald.
The potential 130-strong force, which could deploy by the end of the year, would help train the U.A.E. special operations forces and protect South Korean citizens, officials said.
Last December, a consortium of South Korean firms won a deal to build four nuclear power plants in the U.A.E. by 2020.
