Plans Made For Another Georgian Battalion In Afghanistan

The Georgian military has decided to deploy a second peacekeeping battalion in Afghanistan next year, reports the Georgian Ministry of Defense.

The planned deployment was on the agenda last week during a meeting in Brussels between International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) commander Gen. David Petraeus and Bacho Akhalaia, the Georgian defense minister.
