A new plan calls for the British army to be divided into two components with a greater emphasis on special operations, intelligence, surveillance and cyber warfare, reports the Independent (U.K.).
The blueprint, overseen by Lt. Gen. Nick Carter, calls for the creation of "reaction" and "adaptable" forces that will allow the U.K. to respond to crises, while also preparing for longer-term missions.
