Planned Joint Military Force With Armenia Seen Making Region More Secure

The Russian and Armenian governments plan to establish a joint military force in the Caucasus region, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).

The joint force is intended to add security to the region, according to the draft agreement, which has been submitted to Russian President Vladimir Putin for approval.

The accord covers the procedures for putting the force on alert, reassigning national components to the joint command and the force's deployment and application.
