The White House's nominee for defense secretary says proposed cuts totaling $400 billion over a decade to the security budget would not threaten U.S. national security, reports Defense News.
Leon Panetta answered questions about spending and other defense issues during a confirmation hearing Thursday before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
