The Chinese People’s Liberation Army recently completed a series of tests simulating attacks on port infrastructure, reports the state-run Global Times (Beijing).
The test included an underwater demolition of a hostile high-piled wharf, the newspaper reported on Monday.
The trials evaluated damage to a mock port from weapons detonated at various ranges.
Experts said that data gathered from the test could be used to help plan an attack on an enemy port in a future conflict.
