Six Turkish troops were killed Tuesday in a clash with Kurdish rebels near the border with Iraq, Bloomberg News reports.
The fighting with rebels from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) took place near the village of Kavusak in Hakkari province, security officials said.
Medevac helicopters were landing at local hospitals, according to local press accounts.
