The Turkish military crossed into northern Iraq on Wednesday to pursue Kurdish rebels who attacked a military facility in southeastern Turkey, reports the Hurriyet Daily News.

Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants attacked a military base in the Sirnak province near the Iraqi border early on Wednesday morning, killing a soldier and wounding three others, Turkish officials said.
