Pirates Seize Vessel In Indian Ocean

Somali pirates have hijacked a Panamanian-flagged, United Arab Emirates-owned bulk cargo vessel northeast of the Seychelles, reports the E.U. Naval Force (EU NAVFOR).
Pirates on two skiffs fired small arms and rocket-propelled grenades at the MV Orna merchant ship, the E.U. force said Monday. At least four pirates reportedly boarded the vessel.
The crew of the ship has been cooperating and the vessel was not damaged, said the E.U. mission.
