Pirates Seize Algerian Ship Off Oman Coast

Suspected Somali pirates have captured an Algerian-flagged and -owned bulk carrier in the Indian Ocean about 150 nautical miles (280 km) off the coast of Oman, reports the E.U. Naval Force (EUNAVFOR).

The MV Blida was sailing to Salalah in Oman from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a crew of 27, including personnel from Algeria, the Philippines and Ukraine, according to the task force.
