Pirates Hijack Liberian Cargo Ship Near India

Somali pirates have seized a Liberian-owned, Panama-flagged cargo vessel with 24 Filipino crew members in the Indian Ocean, RTT News reports.
The MV Renuar was attacked about 550 miles off the coast of India and 1,000 miles from the coast of Somalia, said officials with the European Union's anti-piracy naval task force (NAVFOR).
The pirates were reportedly armed with rocket-propelled grenades and small arms. The ship is now heading toward Somalia, said the officials. ...
