Somali pirates seized a Greek-owned ship on Wednesday in the Gulf of Aden, the BBC reports.
The Liberian-flagged MV Eleni P, with at least 23 crew members aboard, was carrying a cargo of iron ore from Ukraine to China, according to the ship's owner, Eurobulk.
The crew included 19 Filipinos, two Greeks, one Ukrainian and one Romanian, the ship's owner said.
The pirates reportedly fired shots when boarding the vessel, but no one was believed to have been hurt.
