Pirate activity in the Gulf of Aden of Somalia's coast is likely to increase as monsoon season ends, predicts the European Union Naval Force (NAVFOR).
International navies operating in the gulf disrupted six suspicious skiffs over the weekend, military officials said.
In each case, the apparent pirates were seen to be throwing weapons and ladders overboard when they came into contact with the military.
