Following an agreement between Kazakh and Russian officials, air force pilots will start flying the Russian-built Yak-130 Mitten advanced jet trainer/light attack aircraft this spring, RIA Novosti reports.
Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov reached an agreement with Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov on the use of the Yak-130s during his visit to Moscow.
The deal was announced Wednesday by the Russian defense minister.
