A Russian air force fighter has crashed in the Petrozavodsk district of the northwestern Karelia region, reports RIA Novosti.
Both pilots ejected safely from the Su-27UB on Thursday and were in good condition, according to air force officials.
Possible causes include a bird strike or a flight-control system failure, said a spokesman for the Western Military District.
