A Turkish air force training aircraft crashed after its wing fell off in flight on Tuesday, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
According to local officials, the SF-260 trainer with two pilots onboard took off from the Cigli Second Air Base Wing Command in the western Izmir province. The plane went down near the Gorece village in the Menemen district.
Both pilots ejected safely, suffering minor injuries, according to Turkish media accounts.
