A Bulgarian air force MiG-29 has crashed during a training mission, reports the Sofia News Agency.
The aircraft went down on Thursday near the southern city of Plovdiv, said military officials.
The pilots ejected safely before the jet crashed into a river between the villages of Tsarimir and Golyam Chardak, said officials.
Witnesses said they saw flames from the fighter before it hit.
