Physicist Arrested, Charged With Terrorist Link

A French physicist of Algerian origin who works for the world's largest atom smasher at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has been arrested for criminal association with a terror group, the BBC reports.
Preliminary charges have been filed against the scientist, judicial officials said.
He is suspected of links to Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, a North African group.
The 32-year-old man is one of two brothers detained in the town of Vienne on Thursday....
