Peshmerga Push Back ISIS In North

Kurdish peshmerga forces say they have driven back Islamic State fighters from a large area in northern Iraq and cut off a supply line to the group's forces holding Mosul, reports the Washington Post.
The government of the semi-autonomous Kurdish region said about 5,000 peshmerga began an operation Tuesday backed by U.S.-led airstrikes, retaking a 300-square-mile area.
