Pentagon Reports Key Leader Of Khorasan Group Killed In Airstrike

A key leader of an Al-Qaida offshoot in Syria has been killed in a U.S. airstrike, says the Pentagon, as reported by CNN.
Muhsin al-Fadhli, the Kuwaiti leader of the Khorasan Group, was killed in a strike on July 8 as he was traveling near the Syrian town of Sarmada, said a Pentagon spokesman on Tuesday.
"His death will degrade and disrupt ongoing external operations of Al-Qaida against the United States and our allies and partners," said the spokesman.
