Australia has ordered two dozen maritime helicopters from the United States, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The proposed deal, worth US$2.1 billion, covers 24 MH-60R Seahawk helicopters and associated equipment, training and logistics support.
Congress has been notified of the possible sale as required by law and has 30 days to review it, said the DSCA.
