Pentagon Details Need For Thousands Of Armored Vehicles

The Pentagon has released a request for proposals for thousands of light Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles, the Army Times reports.
The request seeks bids on designing, building and partially maintaining the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV). It includes plans for awarding up to five contracts for test vehicles this April and a contract for full production in June.
