Pentagon Continues To Reduce Afghan Presence Despite Limits In New NDAA

The Defense Dept. expects to reduce the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan to about 2,500 troops despite language in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) barring such a move, reports the Stars and Stripes.

On Monday, the Pentagon confirmed that plans to reduce the number of troops in Afghanistan to 2,500 by Friday had not changed, reported Reuters.
