The United States has transferred five Yemeni detainees who have been held in prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, reports NBC News.
Four were sent to Oman and one was handed over to Estonia, the Defense Dept. announced on Wednesday.
The Pentagon said all five were captured in Pakistan as suspected Al-Qaida fighters. They had been cleared for release since at least 2009.
