Peacekeeping Mission Extended Into December

The Security Council has extended the mandate of the peacekeeping mission in Cyprus for another six months, reports the U.N. News Service.
The U.N. Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) is now authorized to continue operations until Dec. 15.
However, the council expressed concern that time is running out for a deal between Turkish and Greek Cypriots.
