The Thai military is continuing to withdraw its peacekeeping contingent from the U.N.-African Union mission in Darfur (UNAMID), reports the Bangkok Post.
By the end of this week, all 812 Thai personnel are expected to be in Thailand, ending the effort that began in December 2010.
The Cabinet in March decided to end the mission due to concerns over increasing violence in Darfur.
