Nigeria's Defense Minister Bello Haliru Mohammed has complained thatNigerian troops taking part in the U.N.-African Union peacekeeping mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in western Sudan are not properly equipped, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
Mohammed made his comments last week during a visit to Sudan with Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin, the chief of defense staff, where they assessed the performance of Nigerian soldiers there.
The government needs to procure more equipment...
