United Nations peacekeepers and Congolese troops says they have seized control of bases used by a militant group in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, reports the U.N. News Service.
Congolese forces supported by attack helicopters and the Force Intervention Brigade of the U.N. Stabilization Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) captured bases used by the National Liberation Front (FNL) in Congo's South Kivu province, according to a U.N. release on Tuesday.
