Payments Begin To Flow To Mutinous Troops

Leaders of the recent Ivorian protest say the government has started to pay the bonuses promised to mutineers, reports Reuters.
On Jan. 6, soldiers seized Bouake and several other cities in Ivory Coast, demanding higher pay and bonuses. The government eventually agreed to pay about US$19,541 to around 8,400 soldiers, beginning with an installment of US$8,163, according to negotiators for the troops.
