A South Korean navy patrol ship has sunk after colliding with a fishing boat, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Early reports indicated that the navy ship involved was a Chamsuri-class vessel (also known as Sea Dolphin), reported the Yonhap news agency (South Korea).
The navy ship was conducting a training mission northwest of Jeju Port when it hit a 300-ton fishing boat late on Wednesday, according to the navy on Thursday.
