Australian patrol boats are in the midst of a bilateral maritime exercise with the Indonesian navy, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
Exercise Cassowary 2010 is a combined patrol boat exercise intended to improve interoperability between the Australian and Indonesian navies.
The Australian Armidale-class boats Broome and Pirie have been participating in the training along with the Indonesian vessels Untung Suropati and Kerapu.
