Papua New Guinea has returned a patrol boat to Australia for repairs eight months after it was donated, reports the Australian.
HMPNGS Ted Diro was sent back to Cairns for repairs due to an unforeseen technical issue, said the Australian Dept. of Defense.
The problem was believed to be with the boat's propulsion system.
A department spokeswoman said that there were no issues when it was transferred in February and the problem has not surfaced on other vessels in the same class. ...
