Parts Ordered For Another Coast Guard National Security Cutter

The U.S. Coast Guard has awarded Huntington Ingalls Industries, Pascagoula, Miss., a contract for long-lead materials for an unnamed sixth Bertholf-class cutter, reports the shipbuilder.
The $76 million deal covers steel plating, main propulsion and navigation systems, generators, electrical switchboards, major castings, and other items, reported the Coast Guard.
A second component of the contract worth $12 million, is for valves and the ships integrated control system. ...
