As Part Of 5-Month Training Cruise, Brazilian Midshipmen Visit U.S. Naval Station In Fla.

U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet has been hosting a Brazilian training frigate during a port visit to Mayport, Fla., reports the Navy NewsStand.

The Brasil (U-27) training frigate carries about 450 personnel, including 200 midshipmen from the Brazilian naval and merchant marine academies. The ship arrived at Mayport on Nov. 10.

The midshipmen are on a five-month training cruise that will include port calls in 15 countries.
