Parliament Ratifies Deal For CSTO Rapid-Reaction Force

The Kazakh Parliament has ratified an agreement to create a Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) rapid-reaction force, RIA Novosti reports.
The Collective Rapid-Reaction Force is intended to address threats such as terrorism, extremism, drug-trafficking and natural disasters, and will improve international security, according to Defense Minister Bolat Sembinov.
