The French government has decided to extradite former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega back to his home country, RTT News reports.
The Foreign Ministry said it had U.S. consent to begin the process, which is required because Noriega has not finished his prison sentence in France after being extradited there by the U.S.
Noriega is currently serving a seven-year sentence for money-laundering following his conviction in absentia. He was extradited to France last year.
