Paratroopers Evaluate Portable Radar Bound For Airborne Combat Vehicles

Russian paratroopers are testing a new portable radar, reports RIA Novosti.
Six Garmon (1L122M) radars have been delivered to airborne air defense units in Novorossiisk, Ivanovo and Tula for testing, said Defense Ministry officials.
The evaluations are scheduled to run through the end of the year.
The radar weighs about (30 kg) and consists of an antenna array, computer, tactical display and Glonass global positioning receiver.
