Paratrooper Dies In Training Accident At Fort Bragg

A soldier with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., has been killed in a training accident, reports the Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer.

The incident took place Saturday night during a joint operational access exercise, which simulates traditional airborne operations.

A parachute malfunction was the likely cause of death, according to early reports.

An investigation is underway, said the Army.
