The Iraqi Interior Ministry has removed hundreds of former members of the U.S.-backed Awakening Sunni paramilitary force from the police service in Anbar province, the Washington Post reports.
The order from the ministry said the 410 men must leave the force or stay on as beat officers. The ministry said the men were unqualified for their ranks.
