The Indian armed forces has test-fired two short-range surface-to-surface missiles from the integrated test range in Chandipur in the eastern Orissa state, reports Agence France-Presse.
The Prithvi II missiles, which can carry nuclear warheads, completed the test successfully, officials said.
The missile, which has a range of about 220 miles (350 km), failed its last test in September due to technical problems.
