Pacific Command, Pacific Fleet Get New Commanders

A joint ceremony has been held to mark the change of commands of the U.S. Pacific Command and Pacific Fleet, reports the U.S. Pacific Command.
The ceremony was held Wednesday at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. Adm. Scott Swift assumed command of U.S. Pacific Fleet. He succeeded Adm. Harry Harris, Jr.
Harris, in turn, took command of PACOM from Adm. Samuel Locklear III. Locklear is retiring from active service. He headed PACOM for more than three years.
